Treatment will be targeted to deliver you the most effective interventions with compassion and expertise. I am continually seeking training in evidence-based approaches and updating my skills based on current research.

  • Integrative

Since the working alliance between therapist and client is key to your progress, I will work closely with you to nurture feelings of trust and safety. Therapy will focus on you as a whole person, not just your symptoms.

Couples Therapy

“Love doesn’t just sit there, like a stone, it has to be made, like bread; remade all the time, made new.” —Ursula K. Le Guin

My practice specializes in helping couples navigate difficulties in their relationship. I have received training in the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and use these evidence-based approaches combined with my extensive clinical experience to assess and treat couples. Therapy begins with a thorough evaluation of the health of your relationship to identify strengths and vulnerabilities and inform treatment planning. From there, we will work together to reinforce your relationship from the ground-up, strengthening your friendship, improving communication, healing relationship wounds, deepening intimacy, and creating a renewed set of shared goals.

My practice also offers pre-marital, newlywed, and well-couple “Relationship Well-Check Packages” that consist of four to six sessions to identify your relationship’s areas of strength and vulnerability and provide strategies that will safeguard your connection and friendship for the future.

Family Therapy

“When your family shares a deeper intimacy and respect, problems between family members will seem lighter to bear.” - John Gottman

Drawing from my training in family systems and attachment theory, I work with parents, children, and siblings in different combinations to help members establish healthy family structures, open new lines of communication, and increase opportunities for connection. Parent consultation will draw on theories from structural family therapy, emotion coaching, and child development. I also work with families of adult children who are navigating difficult decisions or disruptions to the family system.

Individual therapy session

Individual Therapy

“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.” - Carl Rogers

Individual therapy is offered to adults who are struggling with a range of problems including anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, work/school stress, personal loss, family conflict, and emotional dysregulation. With my individual clients, I use a combination of insight-oriented, cognitive behavioral, and mindfulness-based interventions with a focus on their relationships and sources of connection.
